MEETING REPORT:
After taking a long winter break for Thanksgiving and the early
part of December, several of us "itched" to meet again, even if it was to be a bit casual. Showing up in Union City from 1-5pm
were Mike, Andy (San Francisco), Ian, and Mark (Hayward). A better part of the afternoon was spent setting up the bikes,
taking a good look at what was to be done to the brand new TT Ducati bikes of Andy and Mark, and then setting up a "Vegas-like"
track with long straights and sweeping corners using cones and low rise frisbees.
Once equipped with a spare set of Ian's GRP tires, Andy's Lehner brushless
powered Ducati was able to put most of its power successfully on the ground - however there wasn't a wheelie
in sight to our dismay. Mark took out his bone-stock TT Ducati to take advantage of the wide open schoolyard and then
revealed his digital camera to get some nice shots of the bikes. Mike and Ian spent the last two hours racing with their
Novak brushless TT's to get familiar with proper racing lines, throttle control, and steering technique.
Overall great event to get used to running with others. It's great to
get out and share the hobby, especially during the holidays!
